For decades scientists and academics have been conducting research on how to improve the education system. Amazing insights were found year after year, but logistical inflexibility stalled the implementation of many proven solutions. The recent rise in access to computers and smart phones made it possible to minimize these barriers to implementation. For the last 4 years, the team at Akwai combed through over 500 scientific studies to painstakingly incorporate each into our software. The result is our website/mobile app that turns learning into actionable habits and gets parents more involved. Akwai has a marketplace with thousands of Action Plans for any goal students, parents and teachers may want to accomplish. You name it, we got it – parenting, class-management, growth mindset… we’ve even converted best-selling books into Action Plans. When an Action Plan is chosen, the app has an Artificially Intelligent Virtual Coach (AIVC) that will show the user exactly what to do to make progress toward the goal. It also measures attributes that are essential to success and pairs users with accountability partners on a weekly basis. Teachers can even create their own Action Plans for their school’s unique situation.

Consistent Introspective Evaluation
Consistent Introspective Evaluation
Backed by over five decades of research, Akwai has developed a mobile app that helps people break their goals down into actionable steps. Students track progress by answering specific questions in the following five areas:
Things needing to get accomplished on a one time basis.
Behaviors they’re trying to accomplish on a daily or weekly basis that will help them reach their goals.
Habits they’re trying to avoid - usually things that will hinder their progress.
Things they can rate themselves on – on a scale from 1 to 10. Basically, this is a self-evaluation.
Open-ended questions that they can ask themselves – and also answer on a weekly basis.
An individual To-Do, Task, UnProductive, Rating or Question is called a Field. A collection of Fields that have been grouped together to accomplish a specific goal is called a Template. Based on their grade level, students will have access to a library of Templates for goals like;
improving grades
becoming more confident
maintaining positive social relationships
finding a career path they can be passionate about
and many more...
The app encourages students to invite all their relatives and adult family friends to join Akwai and become part of their Supporter Network for periodic check-ins. To get adults more engaged, we also have Templates for goals like;
being more joyful and less stressed
improving health through proper eating
improving health through regular exercise
taking steps toward a raise, promotion or new career path
and many more...
Consistent Motivational Collaboration
Consistent Motivational Collaboration
The app revolves around a three step process that happens once every week:
Students will get an alarm notification to remind them to input answers for their To-Dos, Tasks, UnProductives, Ratings and Questions
They will view someone else’s progress to say something positive or motivational. We call this process, “Sending Joy”
Someone else, will view their progress and do the same. This is called, “Receiving Joy”
Having a hard time coming up with something to say? Just use one of our Send Joy Suggestions:
AIVC 3.0 is based on over 500 individual scientific studies
AIVC 3.0 is based on over 500 individual scientific studies
- based around Tasks and what the user accomplished in relation to what they said they would get accomplished.
- based around UnProductives and how well users avoided participating in activities they identified as being detrimental to their objectives.
- based around Ratings and how well the user evaluated personal traits that have an impact on their advancement toward success.
- based around Questions and the detail given in response to open ended questions that pertained to their progress.
- based around the user holding themselves responsible for their progress as well as how well they held others accountable.
- based around the user’s consistency, and how punctual they were when submitting status updates and progress reports.
- based around how much effort was put into using functions of the software that were developed to maximize productivity.
- based around the effort put into unique activities that increase their chances of accomplishing goals and objectives - activities like referring friends and reading our articles.

Each Akwai user will also be able to generate a 20 page summary document called a “Portfolio”. These Portfolios are filled with colorful infographic-style charts and graphs that make it easy to visually see the student’s progress. AIVC 3.0 updates Portfolios every single week to give detailed reasoning for the Scores and Sub-Scores a student has received.
This will allow counselors and teachers to provide more personalized coaching. It gives them a deep understanding of the root causes behind the student’s outcomes. Portfolios can even be an invaluable asset when applying for college scholarships or preparing for a job interview.
Here is an example Portfolio:
Superintendents and Principals will be able to compile the statistics from students’ individual Portfolios into a school-wide Data Dashboard. This will allow them to see how well the whole school is progressing and what areas might need the most attention. There are a lot of ways stats can be ranked so there are multiple leaderboards which allows students to compete and see who is the most productive.
For a student to be successful, they need to have structure outside the classroom. Homework, projects, studying, reviewing progress, getting enough sleep, eating right and exercising are all activities that have to be done at home. Parents will be able to manage home activities more effectively since the mobile app allows them to measure their student’s progress.
Students earn gift cards and prizes for getting the role-models in their lives to download the mobile app so that everyone will have access to their goals, action steps and progress. This includes siblings, grandparents, longtime family friends, people from church and maybe even the family dentist. Having an extended network of supporters helps the parent be held accountable to being involved in their student’s education.
